Are your clients giving good feedback? Well, if your answer to any of the questions is No, I have some tips that will help whether you are social media savvy looking for extra information to make your business successful.            1. Determine which social networks will work for you          For small businesses, you should first focus on the most used social networks. It's more beneficial to be outstanding on a couple of social networks than being mediocre in all of them, considering that most are free. Not all social platforms will suit your marketing. To assist you in deciding which social media platform to choose from, you should identify where your target audience already hangs out.      2. Define and assess your goals       Before you start posting on social, it's essential

10 DIGITAL MARKETING MISTAKES ENTREPRENEURS
SHOULD  AVOID

We all make mistakes, and it's very important to learn from them. Making a mistake once is okay but repeating the same mistake is like placing a fish on an empty riverbed.
I want to share with you some of the top digital mistakes commonly made and give you tips on correcting them.

1. Not considering the mobile device users

Do you have a website for your business? That's not enough. You need to optimize your website for mobile devices because almost everyone owns a mobile device and uses them for different purposes.

In this case, one can use a mobile device to purchase items from your website. Bad mobile experiences can turn customers away from your business. Customers may like your brand, but they will not visit your website if it's not mobile-friendly.

2. Not using social media effectively

One thing for sure is that people went online during the pandemic; therefore, a good number of your consumers use these platforms, so you need to be there. Joining a social media platform is free. So your business needs to be on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.)

It will cost you some money to buy an advert and maybe pay someone to run your page, but the truth is, using social media will be cheaper compared to traditional marketing efforts.

3. Buying followers on social media

We all know that this has been a trend lately. So, once you buy followers on your socials, you expect productivity, engagement, and a rise in sales. This will lead to disappointments, and nobody will buy your products/services. This does not accomplish anything, and again if you are caught, this only would ruin your reputation. It's not worth it.

4. Forgetting to use videos

When we talk about social media, most people think about Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, but what about YouTube? Your business needs a YouTube channel.

Here's why: Videos are engaging, and they help capture the attention of your consumers; it's also a great strategy to get your viewers to check on your website.
You can also take great quality photos of your products and make good videos using applications found on the play store.

5. Missing your target audience(Niche)

Not understanding your target audience will cost you. This is an inefficient way to spend your campaign money. You need to narrow down your target market and make sure you consider the demographic of your current and prospective consumers. (that's who you should be targeting)

6. Not converting your website traffic

Your website is doing so well, and you look at your website analytics and realize that the number of visitors is growing(isn't this the news we all want?) But there is a problem somewhere, your sales numbers are still the same. For sure, 80% of website visitors leave a page because they can't find what they are looking for. That's it!

There are two ways to solve this:
1. Make sure your website is easy to navigate.
2. Make sure there are plenty of search options and filters. (this way, your consumers can quickly find what they want to purchase).
This takes us back to our first point. Make sure your website is mobile-friendly because people want to purchase your products on the move.

7. Not establishing realistic goals

As an entrepreneur, you need to set goals both short and long-term for your company.
Make sure that your team understands your company/business goals because you all need to achieve them.
Remember that these goals you set will help you allocate your marketing budget.goals set 100%

8. Not promoting your website.

This is a no-brainer, you could have one of the best websites, but nobody will know or visit if you do not promote it. You can pay for Ads on Google, Facebook, or Instagram, and you can also post them on your social media platforms.
These marketing tactics will drive traffic to your website, bring new customers to your site, and retain those you already had.

9 . Not doing keyword research

Your website needs to be optimized for searches. Please don't ignore this because it's one of the key things for a website to easily find. Make sure that your website has keywords and phrases that people are searching for. (use a keyword planner for this.)

Tip:
Avoid keywords that have a low average monthly search and have high competition.
Aim for keywords with traffic.

10. Not keen on email marketing

Modern-day email marketing is more engaging with automation options. One of the mistakes made is that email marketers follow up on a subscription with a mail out of the blue.

Tip:
Choose an automation software to help you with your email management. There are many email automation software available in the market. Some are paid for, while others are free.
Some of them provide data visualization and push notification features.

Conclusion
The takeaway here is simple. If you lack the knowledge and resources to handle something, just ask for help.

I hope you enjoyed and learned something new. Please feel free to add more tips in the comment section that you feel I have left out.
